Lmao

Whoa!!! You guys kick a**!!!! Found the whereabouts of this guys with a quickness!! Gotta love the members on here for all the love and support for a fellow member.. Bet the guy is trippin on his photo mistakes!!! May not be where he lives, but I'm sure his friends will give him up on a down low to prevent any drama caused by his error... Don't think the pot was split among a them since it would have been next to nothing, considering if they got caught up.. Not worth the headaches.... OP, I wish you the best of luck on your mission straighten this all out.. Did you go to the Feds, yet??? I'm not one to handle it like that usually, but in a situation like this..... Ya gotta exhaust all remedies... Best of luck with the out come...

The condo is in his parents name, along with the other address that was posted... Hate to get his parents involved...

I hate scammers, I actually have a friend that's a detective with Jax PD in burglary... might have to see what all can be done...

^ the mods can run his I.P to see if it matches the original scammer. That's what they did to me after I was banned once & then resigned in with a different screen name when that J.B stuff was taking place.

same feeling..

Seen his post and was wondering the same... Popped out of the blue with info on the situation, considering his post count and join date... Very fishy for real, huh?!

Checked. This thread is going nowhere without any update from Flyinb501. I think the community here has helped greatly. That said, I'm hoping the authorities have been informed and Flyinb501 can recoup his money. Flyinb501, if you have any updates please advise me or another mod to reopen the thread. Best of luck.

First of all I'd just like to say how appreciative I am to everyone here that has helped out with this situation.

Please calm down on the conspiracy theories though.

ImMob is not affiliated with the scammer and his story is true. He is a veteran member and is just apparently protecting his identity. He did pm me Friday using his true account. He has a high post count and Itrader rating as well. We did speak on the phone, and he has been very helpful and has also gone out of his way to physically check up on the situation.

I am extremely busy so I apologize that I have not been able to be more active here and keep you guys better updated. I did just call the Jacksonville police and am currently waiting on an officer to call me, at which point I will be "officially reporting the crime". However, I have very little faith that the police will do much with the situation. In my experience police in bigger cities do not waste much time with stuff like this.

I am confident that I will be getting my money back through paypal, or my credit card company. If I didn't believe this I would be irate, and on the first flight down there to track this piece of s*** down. Take my word.

I will continue to keep you guys updated as I receive information.

Once again, thank you very much everyone!

-Brian

UPDATE:

I just spoke with an officer, and unfortunately I don't have good news. The officer was borderline rude, and continued to tell me that this is a civil case and not a police matter. He asked about this website and it seemed like he was going to check it out, but than reverted back to saying it is a civil case and pretty much insulting me by rhetorically asking why I would buy something from someone that I didn't know much about.

Needless to say, I am pissed.

sorry to hear man. i know there are "internet police" out there somewhere but they are usually paid and im not sure it would be to your benefit. ive never used them so i know nothing about them aside from it being a detective company that tracks these sorts of transactions. hopefully paypal will side in your favor. im almost 100% that if he does not respond or cannot provide tracking info, they will side with you
