If your car is a daily driver i would just stick with the stock pads, when you install the pads i would suggest to turn the rotors or get replacements or u could still have the squeeling noise due to the rotors being glazed, and/or warped.

I would cast another vote for the Project Mu NS pads (these are on the stock Brembo rotors). No noise for me, much lower dust than stock, no complaints about cold braking. I'll buy another set.

My pads.....Hawk HP's!

I like my Hawk HP pads, very little dust if any and zero noise. One of the
most important things about new pads is to break them in correctly other
wise you will have issues. Do a search for the directions.

how much do the project mus cost? its not always about performance.. its also about affordability. i stuck with the brembo pads ($120+) and its a good mix of price and performance.

I have the Hawk HP pads and they are "ok" but there are a few things I don't like about them.

- When driving in the rain or wet roads they respond slowly the first time the brakes are applied
- Their initial grab is not even close to what the stock pads were
- When installing I had file/sand down the top and bottom of the metal pad backing in order to get them to fit into the calipers

I do like that they create far less dust than the stock pads did and they are quiet.

Be certain to remove the shims from the back of the old pads when installing the new ones. This will keep the pads from squeaking.

Squealing is solved on the OEM Brembo pads (which have shims attached from the factory) with some additional anti-squeal lube, like 3M Brake lube/anti-sieze. I just replaced my Brembo pads with some more OEM's and they are quiet as a doormouse. I used plenty of 3M brake lube and it works great.

The stock pads are hard to beat for cold stopping power - the HPS are very weak in that department.

Hey guys.. I don't know 2 much about the brakes so I have a question.
If I would like to get these nismo project ns pads or similar like these from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISMO...QQcmdZViewItem
can I install them on stock rotors/etc or do I need to replace rotors?
for brembo I need to replace rotors right?
Thanx
Mike
