^^ I've had that same setup for a year now and the drone got a bit better although it's definitely there. Long trips it's a little much IMO

 

What Y and mid you using? I get a hint at 75, I have no problems driving distances with it, no different then the stock setup. Sometimes in the city it drones a bit but its OK.

Hahaha i just found this vid. This is back when i had uninstalled the stillen supercharger ftl and only had this JIC TI 3inch single exit. I had stock cats, Megan Y pipe and stillen cold air. At 3k rpm's and up it got really loud.

 

I don't know if that's your camera or what, but it sounds like constant drone at the whole RPM range lol. Sounds loud.

 

Anybody have magnaflow 16861 with a magnaflow 11385 (x-pipe). How does it sound? Is there a drone? And I cant find any Borla exhuats for a 05 G35x. Am I not looking hard enough or what?

does anyone have a video or sound clip of a 3'' straight pipe with just a muffler from the y-pipe back

 

I had that with my old motordyne setup 3 inch straight pipe with only a muffler, there's a video on here somewhere its at night, and I'm on my phone so finding it will take a while.

Hey guys, I have a 6mt 04 sedan and am trying to get a deeper more factory coupe sound without spending too much money.

So far I have interest in the Kinetix hfc's for $350.

I am afraid to spend money on a muffler and end up sounding like a honda.

Suggestions will be great... Thanks!

 

^ you won't sound like a honda with a muffler. Get HFC or ART pipes if you got the $$ HR Y pipe, coupe midpipe and the muffler of your choice or some tips on your oem muffler

 

I want to get the coupe mid pipe and hr y pipe but every time i find one it's already sold.... lol
