What's your MD setup again? You have a straight midpipe but your XYZ has a resonator?

Yes that is correct! I had a bad rasp with the straight pipe and according to tony the resonated xyz makes more power than the straight accessory. My car doesn't really stand out, driving around town, but everyone hears me coming from a block away! Lol

Oh man that sounds so good. Bet it sounds even better in person! I want ARTs so bad

Do the fumes stand out a lot to you or people that ride with you? I remember this was discussed in the other MD exhaust thread, but I was curious if they've gotten better, or still the same.

Ok I searched, and actually went back through all 43 pages of this thread and didn't find an answer to my question:

Will a single exit exhaust from a coupe fit a sedan? Im still trying to find a way to make my sedan sound like the coupe.

And for reference, I've tried coupe mid, 05 mid, 05 stock muffler, 03 stock muffler, res-delete, race muffler in place of res... all the small stuff (My poor piping looks like Frankensteins monster). I dont want to move my evap, and even then a coupe muffler wouldnt really work. Of all the exhaust's available for the sedan the MD VQ is my favorite, and of course its discontinued. I know the HKS is everyone's favorite but I dont think its $300-400 different than my current setup. Ive said it before, but how the hell can the sedan and coupe sound so different? And not just stock, the aftermarket offerings as well.

Simple answer, it's the muffler. If you want it to sound like a coupe, find a way to fit the coupe muffler on the sedan. Single exit will be easier. You may have to do some fabrication. Take it to a muffler shop and have them mandrel bend what you need to make it fit properly.

Ahh a simple answer.. Well the coupe muffler would really only work if I hacked out the spare tire well, which if done properly, id be willing to do. I thought about mounting it sideways, and using a turn down for one the exits, but that doesnt really seem feasible, the muffler is too big and heavy. I dont see how else a stock coupe muffler would work.

Anyone know of the top of their head who all makes a single exit exhaust for the coupe?
