Would this be a good fit for a G35 sedan? Not too soft or too stiff? I am deciding between these and the Tein Basics.

 

I think you need to revise your title. The Ksport coilovers are in no way made by Koni or affiliated with Koni in any way.

 

Really? I found out about them through eBay, and they were called the Koni Ksports...

 

ksport is deffinatly not a koni product. k sport is made in the same place as d2's are made, or so i heard from 240sx forums. i've heard good and bad things about them some love them some hate them.

 

Gotcha. I've ridden in Maxima's with the D2 coilovers and they had excellent ride quality and adjustability.

With the Ksports, you have your choice of various spring rates- these are their standard though (for the 350z).

Which spring rate would you suggest for a firm ride, but not jarring ride?

Yeah, that's why I'm eyeing the HKS RS coilovers. Supposedly a good compromise between track and street duty with reasonable 8kg/8kg spring rates. But for ~$1,800 I would expect those coilovers would be able to adjust spring preload and ride height seperate of each other.
