how the hell you u put it on. i ordered mine from Performance Nissan and the emblem has 2 prongs but our car doesnt have holes for them so i figure that this is truely not a jdm part. 2nd if you just cut the prongs the emblem still does not sit flush on the trunk. i've seen them on before (and looks great IMO) but are those different and if so where can u get them?

Based on wha tyou've said, I assume you have the coupe, since you never mentioned which model you have. And if that's the case, you probably ordered the emblem for the sedan...or you have the very small 350Z engine emblem.

Try ebay.

i got the one from performance nissan, they gave me a sedan emblem instead of a coupe emblem

 

ok maybe didnt search good enough. but i found out i have the sedan emblem. i also wrote a review of the product on thier site informing ppl that it is not the same emblem for coupes and sedans. also i wrote a email to the tech at performance nissan, so hopefully they can update this info for ppl that want to purchase it.

 

I've searched 6 or 7 sites and none of them differentiate between the coupe and sedan rear emblem... anyone know an online store where i can get the right emblem for sure?

 

well does anyone have to right part number for the rear coupe nissan emblem? i went to performance nissan yesterday and spoke to Andy which is an active member on my350z so i figure he would know but no. the tech ppl told him that this is the emblem they have been selling for a few years with no indication of sedan or coupe. so i explained how the coupe does not have any holes for the pins and he said it should fit with no modification. and which clearly the emblem they sold me has pins???? so does anyone have the item number or know a place to buy it. so i can take it to them and heve them update the info so no more ppl get fuKd uver like this again!! since they been doing it for years..

 

Well, I had the same problem when I put the emblem on. I have a 04 sedan and the Nissan sedan emblem had two prongs. So I just cut one of them and placed it on the trunk. The sedan emblem is larger than the coupe emblem.

 

So basically all the emblems on the market right now are for the sedan??

 

The rear Nissan sedan emblem is slightly larger than the coupe emblem. In addition, the sedan emblem has two small pins. The difference in size is practically unnoticeable unless you compare them side by side. The coupe emblem is slightly more convex (including the banner section).

 

yeah i know cause i have a sedan one installed on my coupe and it looks horrible from the side
can anyone who has the coupe nissan emblem tell me where they got theirs so that i can switch mine out

 

I just installed a sedan emblem on my coupe today. There are no noticeable gaps between the emblem and the trunk. I would have installed a coupe emblem if I hadn't sent the wrong one to the shop. The difference is not enough to make a difference to me.

If the emblem has two pins on the back, it's for a sedan. The coupe emblems have no pins, are slightly smaller, and have a tiny bit more convex contour. This is the sedan emblem on my coupe.

 

So does any online store sell the coupe nissan emblem? if so please inform me and i will take pixs of both. also i tried to place the sedan emblem on there is a 1/4 gap in the center. so to get the sedan emblem to fit in the correct location will have what?? heat it to form to the trunk?? i personally dont want to do that since it belongs on a sedan in the first place.
