As long as it's not a button type automatic shifter, it will work. It will work for sport shift type automatics.

The plate is considered a Yankee plate because of the Y. The Y, or Yankee, means that the registered owner is American. The Kanji says Okinawa and the 502, I believe that's how they determine the weight class or size of the vehicle.
