The purpose of these things are to hold the hood up instead of using the stick method right?

Are the ball heads on the black mount pieces starting to rust?

Thanks,

They just have a little bit of surface rusting. Nothing too bad and nothing a little cleaning and paint won't fix.

Recently my hood has been "off" and every time I open it, it gets stuck on the body panels by the windshield. Any idea if these will help realign it?

It is possible that they will help keep it in place but also realigning the hood may be required.
