All the work that the Staff have done over the years is certainly appreciated.

Unfortunately, you guys probably get all the flak and members assume that you reap the rewards.

I believe that as with most forums, it's your love of the subject, in this case the G35, that is the only reason that you spend you time trying to keep the rest of us from screwing up the place!

I just wanted to let you guys and ladies know that at least some of us appreciate your time and work here to keep us running.

I know that I hardly have the time to log in to browse, much less do much else.

Now, in the words of Captain Kirk, "get a life!"

(Keep up the good work until then however.)

how did a thread about site issues and down time become a volunteer help appreciation forum?

I appreciate the work they do as well... but the thread is about the recent slowness issues and server problems.

Group hug we all appreciate (most) of the volunteers... and I hope the site problems are behind us (however, somehow I think thats not likely).

Yeah, slowness and crashes are a pain. But some here seem to be bashing the staff, so I thought that I'd give them some positive reinforcement for their efforts.

And we all need a bit of positives once in a while, so your comments are appreciated.

Ummm, don't know about that J.

I was on and off Driver most of the weekend doing backend work and I had no problems. Nothing in the logs to indicate any problems. Are you using Firefox by any chance? I know that some people using it have had similar issues.

We did have an 'internet' drop @ 4:52 Sunday afternoon pacific time but that was a non server issue.

It’s had the typical intermittent extreme delays... but this has been consistent for weeks or months (pathetic that I now consider it normal for Driver)...

But it was entirely down (I couldn't log in or access at all) at least once over the weekend).

The sad (frustrating is more appropriate term) part is that there seems to be no indication that this will ever change.

OC & Turbo

The site didn't crash. It was online with an extremely heavy amount of processes going on and a higher load then normal. I've been watching this afternoon. The server was handling it.

It seems we are getting a very high amount of Bots and Spyders coming online. The main culpret is Yahoo today with a more than normal amount. If you look at the 'whos online' at the bottom of the main forum page you will see that we reached the all time high this afternoon. It was previously at 1624 for quite sometime, now it's past 1700.

We've curtailed the amount of time that they can 'linger' now and hopefully this will resolve it.

is g35driver.com and my350z.com related in terms of server service? i don't know the answer, but just curious. if so, it seems a little weird that g35driver.com is always slower and less reliable and my350z.com.
