Isn,t it enough that there are sponsors and vendors supporting the site? I mean have you guys looked at the bar lately now ads when switching between forums I mean come on.

100% absolutley agree.

This site is becoming more and more **** run every day.

We cant talk about street racing, we have to pay to get on group buys, you guys validate it by saying "It will help the site" Yeah... Im gonna help the site and take my business else where. my350z sounds much more inviting.... and alot less admins screaming give me money or we restrict your access.

Just so you guys know, I run a 100 dollar a month colo. It has a php powered forum on it. Amazingly, we accept donations through paypal and amazingly... the 200 something members we have manage to almost pay for the server every month. Why? Because were nice to them and provide an -UNMODERATED MEDIUM- for them to talk in, unless ofcourse things get racial, insulting, etc.

You people need to learn how to respect those who made you what you are today. Not tell them to bend over so you can put it up their asses.

Spoken like a truly ignorant person. Congratulations!

the 200 something members we have
And how many does G35Driver have? Enough said. Go whine about not being able to post about street racing elsewhere.

Um, My350z is run by the same owners. Sorry you don't enjoy the site.

That Post Was Over The Top...but Fact Still Remains: Group Buys Are Are Dead. I Havent Seen A Good Gb In A Couple Months, In Contrast To Several Months Ago When Access Was Not Limited. It Is A Real Pain Because The Gb's Were One Of The Main Reasons Many Of Us G35driver Faithful Became Premier Members To Begin With. Keeping The Site Up And Running Is A Valid Cause For Requiring Member Fees But To Lessen The Value Overall Of The Site To Those Who Love It Just Sucks. Incentives Are The Way To Go, Not Restrictions!

The facts are you need a certain number of people to get a group buy going (hence the "group" part) and there's not enough "premier" members to do it alone or there isn't enough to get the next discount level.

From what I've discerned, the group buys have actually been successful since the inception of the Premier Membership program.

?????

The only one I can think of that went through was Randy's bumper buy and it's not exactly like Kyle or Top Secret are happy about that one.

Hey Snm, Why Are You Always Covering The Admin's Asses? Every Time Some Yahoo Goes Over The Top With Their Post You Are Always The First One To Respond, As If The Admins Need You To Defend Them? I Dont Get It....the Group Buys Dont Go Through And There Is Just Not Enough Premier Members To Make This Particular Function Of The Site Work. Im Not Trying To Badmouth The Admin. But They Need To Pay Attention To The Needs Of Those Who Really Care About This Site. I Love This Forum And I Miss The Gb's. The Experiment Failed, Now Release The Gb Section From It's Sheltered State...please!

I agree I just paid for the site and it seems like the biggest waste of $30. No other forums charge Ive been part of a million. Nothing in the GB really tickled me I even tryed to start a group buy and not even a nibble I think some serious changes need to be made sponcers should be paying for this site not the users.

i also agree about the premier membership having some benefits for the user. that has really been the only thing that's keeping me from signing up. i'm all for helping out and supporting the board with a lil money, but the only thing i'm getting out of it is information. not knocking on the idea, as this is a truly great site for information. and locking out group buys for non-premier members just doesn't seem right to me.

i think it'd be cool to have a small discount for premier members through the sponsors, additional discount on group buys, little giveaways from time to time, stuff like that. that way it'd be advantageous for a normal member to become premier. win-win, everyone's happy

just my honest opinion is all.

I agree that being a premium member should have it's benefits and privileges, while providing for the forum. However if the administration can't/won't get the forum owners/site sponsors to provide tangible benefits for the members monies, how many present members will renew their membership? You can fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Time will tell, when memberships come up to renewal.

As a post note; a question to ponder.

If a non-premium member can't see the sections that are only open to premium members, how are they suppose to know what there buying? In my mind, if I wanted to sell a premium service, I'd have the ability to see the thread but not be able to open the thread. Unless I'm trying to sell a perception, not substance.

Please don't have the perception that I'm trying to cause trouble and mayhem. Just trying to give a different point of view to create some intellectual thoughts.
