OK so I blew my stock motor. And now its for sale... THe damage is MINIMAL and its nothing a machine shop couldn't fix with a simple hone ($75).

I had a spare motor and as soon as I blew the stock one, I began to build it.
I'm selling the short block. THis includes: Bare block, crank, and main studs.

As usual, I havn't done the necessary price bracket research so please PM me or email me @ danielacedo@hotmail.com and I will consider any offer unless its ridiculous (and you know what that means). CHeck back for a posted price.

I mean it when I say the engine is in great condition.

OK HERE WE GO

MORE IMAGES COMING SOON. TINYPIC IS ACTING UP

Here's a pic of the broken piston. Notice that 1/2 a ringland or whatever you call it broke off.

Here's a closer look

Here you can see how the walls were marked

THis is a look at something that pleased me to see. This piston had 35k miles on it. I always used 93 unleaded and never ever used cheap gas. There is not a single crust on the top of the piston. The engine I bought at a salvage yard that had 50k mi had really crusty pistons and on the bottom, you could see dirty, coked oil.

How can the motor be fixed exactly? And is it a short or long block? and how much were you hoping to get for it? How many miles on it, and any other problems? PM price you were thinking of.

All that needs to be done is to get it honed. Either way, any used short block that you buy you would need to get it honed anyway. It has 35k miles on it and I'm looking to get 800.
