ALT wheels are gravity casted wheels, but they are introducing a one piece forged wheel line later this year.

Well I guess these are CAST, heavier and therefore shouldn't be compared to any forged Volk/Rays wheel.

Cast does not mean heavier it means that it was made differently than the other brands.

cast means it is made in a more inexpensive way, not as strong as forged, and the finish is not as smooth as forged...

there's three-piece casting which takes time to make and at the same you run risks of silicone leaking........gravity casting, yes is inexpensive but it delivers and wheels are durable. Forging is good but no huge difference between the finishes. Its all base on the quality control of the manufacturer.

Still waiting on that weight info. How hard could it be? Just put one on a scale. You have a scale right?

i dont believe you........i doubt alt has their wheels made in the same facility as volk/rays......all rays are made in japan .....i dont think any japanese rim is made in taiwan.....also alt has their own facilty according to their website.....if you look at ray's site they list where all the facilities are and none are in taiwan all in japan

This guy is a joke. Volks are made at the same location as Rays (mother company) in JAPAN. So you're saying Volks are made in Brea (where Alt is???) sorry guy, try the civic forum -the people here are a bit more educated.

I'm personally loving this thread- guy comes in here trying to charge almost double for a set of wheels he can't defend the specifications of without giving shady information and comparisons that can't be backed up.

Svenson- have you actually answered anyone's questions here? Seems to me that'd be the best way to get yourself a customer; tell them what they want to know. As in: what's your new price, and what do these wheels weigh?

don't believe the hype. Rays are not all made in japan,or Lowenheart, or other popular "Japanese engineered companies".

The Brea location that's a wharehouse not a manufacturing facility. Their facility is in Taiwan like I said before.
