If you're comfortable with doing the install yourself, there are plenty of threads in this forum that can help ya out. I did it myself and it took about an hour.
All you really need is:
1) Tap signal before Bose Amp (Basically signal straight from Head Unit) to get a signal to connect to Amp.
2) Get power from the Battery to the Amp.
Search the Audio forums...

I'm pretty comfortable with the technical stuff as long as I know what I need to do. Thats a pretty straightforward instruction too haha. Plus you said you had some leftover wires from your install? If not, on average how much ya have to spend on the wiring for the amp and woofer? Also how long have you had the system, and the wear and tear on it? Im considering your offer but I'm clearly not gonna want a sub thats already been peaked out a few times and will just blow on me after a month of having it ya know?

I went for a balanced system... gains were set at <1/4 (I don't like thumping bass, nor do I wanna **** off neighbors). I matched this with the Stock Bose system, but also changed to Polk components up front (too lazy to take it out, so I just sold it with the car).
I had a daily driver, and the G35 was primarily my weekend car, so it wasn't used much as you can imagine. I understand where you're coming from though... so answer is no, I didn't abuse it.
"Do you know if the amp accepts differential-balanced inputs or standard single-ended signals?"
--> The JL amp takes Line level inputs... no need for LOC, or anything else. Just tap signal, strip some wires, and attached to the L/R inputs on the amp. Output from amp goes to Sub... simple as that.
When I did my install, I also went for upgradeability... I put a distribution block in where I got my power from the battery into a 4:1 (additional power supplies) in case I wanted to upgrade and add an amp in the future (which I didn't... but hey, while your car is apart, what's another 5-10min, and $20).
Also, where you get your power from the battery terminals, that's where I put a fuse so it's easy to change in case the fuse blows, and protects the amp from any issues.
If this sounds too complicated, places in LI charge ~$150 for installs and you can avoid the hassle. I have some wires left over, but not sure if I have everything in there... I got my stuff from http://www.knukonceptz.com/ Prices are pretty good, and the quality is not bad.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to walk thru the installation process... there are many threads on installs from many people in the Audio section. I've attached the Bose Schematics (but they are from my 04... not sure if 05, 06 are different)
Let me know if you're interested...
