Phillips 8k D2S bulbs!

Hey guys, I'm selling a pair of Phillips D2S bulbs, used for about 1k miles if that. Bought new for 155$ selling for 80$ + shipping (probably 3-5$). Ships from 20866! Let me know!
Reason: I switched to 5k D2S bulbs, 8k looked great and all, but a fix-it ticket from local popo made me paranoid (2nd time being pulled for "blue lights" in 1 month!?!) :P
PM ME if interested!
-Jim

Do you mean 6K Ultinons? Because Philips does not make an 8K bulb.

That's what I thought, Phillips doesn't make 8k bulbs, do they?

They aren't the ultinons, but they are the bulbs from a Phillips HID Conversion kit. I was able to purchase just the bulbs rather than the kit from ebay. I have a 05, but got the 06 headlights. I switched to the 5k's in a month due to the local popo's being gay . Loved the color though and still miss it.
Also, no they don't fit the 03's, they get the D2R bulbs. Thanks for looking!

Those conversion kits usually only use Philips ballasts and cheap bulbs from Korea or Taiwan.

O do they? dang it had no idea. I bought these same bulbs for my s2k and they had no issues for roughly 2 years (traded in for gcoupe). Well knowing that, then I'll sell for about half price, 80$ + Shipping! good looking sir!

Yeah, they are not Phillips bulbs, just the ballast.

I know this is another dumb question but what if you fit D2S to 04. Will it work?

The non-projector HID headlights are made to use with D2R bulbs. You won't get the same performance and you may have to trim the base a little but they will work. I used D2R's in my S2000 projectors for a little while and they work, just scrape off the ceramic coating and trim the base. When I changed to D2S it has a little more output.

hmm, what will happen if I just put the D2S in without and trimming taking place. Will that effect any visual at night?

You may have to trim of they won't fit.

Ty ttrank, one more question. I think you know Stillen pretty well. I thought before I saw Stillen only offer stage 1 that is 50 states legal but now I check they changed it to Stage 2. Was I wrong in the beginning or they changed recently. Sorry for the off topic. will do a free bump for the bulbs

No, the only CARB legal is Stage 2 (with the IC) and it has been this way for as long as I have been around it (~1.5 years).
