Just you let you know that newest version 6.5 is out already. Although 6.4 for $120 shipped isn't such a bad price, but I'm not sure if anyone is willing to spend that much money for an outdated disc. New 6.5 version is $190+shipping. I can't expect shipping to much a lot on a dvd, so for just about $200, you can get an upto-date 6.5 shipped to your door.
This is the update from 6.4 to 6.5:

Enhanced Features from Version 6.5 (compared to 6.4)

# Additional 272,000+ miles of map coverage
# Navigable road data increased by 6.4%
# More than 5.7 million updated points of interest in 54 categories -- A 24% increase
# 14% of POI records have been added to the navigation database and 12% of the POI records have been deleted
# Categories that increased the POIs significantly: Golf Course (61%), Movie Theater (55%), Shopping (52%), Sports Center (47%), Sports Complex (43%), Airport (43%), Hospital (33%), and Winery (33%)

Although they say there's a lot of changes, you'll likely not see much diff from 6.4 to 6.5, unless you live in a brand new area.
IMHO, Max's price at about half the cost of a new one is decent, and he did say "OBO.....".

That is true as well. I live in southern california where there are tons of changes daily and found many many listing in my 6.3 to be really outdated. Businesses opening, going out of business, blah blah, I really need a 6.5 (which will probably be outdated in few months anyways!)
I'm going for 6.5 for sure or even wait for something newer and live with 6.3, but just giving my opinion from californian perspective.
Like you said, it does depend on where one lives. New area, or busy area, or, old and not so changing area.
I did see OBO, and I did mention that $120 is not a bad price as well. For someone who lives in an area like me, even $100 may be too high.
Didn't mean to bash the seller at all. Hope that made things a little more clear.

Yes, you live in a much more populated area than me (in the great white north. )....I understand, and I'm sure Max does too...No worries. I doubt he took it as a bash.....
