the gap can be fixed by lowering the hood latch down. Here is a pic of mine before and then after i lowered the hood latch down.

Before lowering:

After lowering: you can see the gap on the left headlight is fixed and the two parts of the hood that connect at where the bumper comes up are closer together as well.
