I dunno man... all that asian lettering on it is making me suspect cheap chinese knock offs.... and don't original PIAA's only go up to 6000k ??

I dunno man... it's a wild guess but could it be because they're made in Japan...? Japan is this small island country located all the way to the east of Asia.
And don't worry man... "original" PIAA does make 6600k bulbs.

that's an authentic PIAA box...most, if not all, PIAA boxes are like that.

and PIAA does sell 6600k. Philips is the one that sells the ever-popular 6000k Ultinons.
