It takes a considerable amount of time and skill to add the CCFLs, black out the housing, and dremel and replace the turn signals with a clear plate. Many people are apprehensive about popping open the headlights to tinker around with them. To those individuals, the price may be worth it.

I would call it a rip off. I have done many sets now. The ccfl strips are 12 dollars (including shipping), paint is 10 dollars, and clear plate is 8 bucks (a large piece). All together cost is 30 bucks and takes maybe an hour at most for the labor. Most the time is spent waiting for the paint to dry. I use to do it for 50 bucks to anyone local in 1 day including parts. I would sell them at most 200.
