I was hoping to find a front license plate/ tow hook cover for my 06 coupe which I believe fits 2003-2007. Preferably in diamont graphite but I can also go with another color. The dealership drilled two holes in my bumper and threw out the painted cover which only comes with no paint if I get it from infiniti so I would have to get a body shop to paint it.

 

Did you check your glove compartment? That's where they put my bumper cover.

yeah unfortunately I checked there and even in the trunk where the spare tire was and I couldn't find anything. The dealer said they put it in the car but couldn't guarantee that the people who detail the car didn't throw it away.

 

dealer sells them for $20 and that comes unpainted. So I would need to find an auto body also.

 

Are you sure about that? Because when I bought my car a couple years ago, the tow hook cover that came with the car was the wrong color. They ordered a new one for me and a week later, I had the right color.

It came in a little plastic bag with the whole "NISSAN" logo sticker on it with the part number, etc.

Didn't look like it was painted by a local paint shop.

 

Well I called infiniti of nashua and they claim it isn't prepainted. I just emailed someone at kelly infiniti to see what they have to say. I know for my 03 sedan it came prepainted but it was much bigger (about the size of the plate itself). It would be much easier if it came prepainted.

 

i just bought one recently at my local dealer.. comes unpainted.

 

you should be running a front plate instead!

 

Couldn't you complain to the dealer that when you bought the car, you already paid for that part?
