No it doesn't. That's basically why you need an adapter.

This adapter does not allow for you to control the iPod through the steering wheel controls; it will allow you to play music from and charge the iPod through the dock connector though.

The USA Spec PA11-NIS allows you to control the iPod with the steering wheel controls while playing music and charging from the dock cable.
