Want to trade for my '05 BMW M3 Convertible?
Want to trade for my '05 BMW M3 Convertible?
Just got a 2008 G37 or G35s Sedan, loaded, but looking for something more, on the wild side? (Sorry, I know that sounded like a cheezy 80's commercial!)
Anyway, I've finally got my dream car now, I made that trip two years ago- problem is, I need something with more space and still fun but less flashy. I've locked onto either an 08 (or possibly 07, though I'd miss the iPod interface) G35 sedan with sport, premium and navigation, or possibly a G37 coupe.
I'm starting the process of selling the M and have found a few 10-20k miles used 07s and even screaming good deals on new 08s. I'm looking to sell mine, get the 07 or 08 G, and get about $4-8k back depending on the G's age and value.
I figured I'd post here for trade since I saw the idea on the M forum; someone with an IS350 looking for an M. I'd prefer the G to the L. Here is the listing I posted on the M3 forum, let me know if you're interested:
2005 Alpine White/Cinnamon Nappa Leather with about 35k miles, navigation, 19" factory wheels (75% tread life left on Toyo T1R Proxis tires I got last year.) Factory real brushed aluminum interior trim (& added stainless pedals and metal e-brake handle.) With the black carpets and dash/door accents and the cinnamon nappa leather seats and inserts on the doors it's the hottest interior I've seen. Great condition, running great, maintained at the dealership- I'm just looking for something with a little more space and less flashy.
I've added an iPod interface and a very nice and tasteful sound upgrade- Diamond Audio replacement front component speakers, a 3-channel Xtant amp and three JL audio 8W6 subs, mounted in the otherwise useless spare tire well and nicely covered (or can be shown off easily.) The car has navigation and bluetooth/BMW assist. I also have a factory Sirius module I installed and later removed at subscription renewal time since I was listening to nothing but the iPod with the great on-screen navi interface & steering wheel controls kit added.
Still under warranty until Feb 09 or 50k. Dealer tells me continued maintenance coverage is available for around ~$1300.
I was just exploring the trade vs. sell thing and I think I'll wait until I find a buyer for a while as I prefer to make my deal on my new car independent of having to haggle the trade too. Plus, I'd love the car to end up in the hands of an enthusiast. it's a true beauty.
Am looking to get around $40k (or trade for a lightly used Infinity G35 4dr new style 2007 or 2008 w/ sport package + cash, or maybe G37 coupe.) I also have a set of 18" Velocity BMW CSL rep wheels (staggered width F/R) with Dunlop Winter Sport M3 snow tires (~80% tread left) available. They look great as well, and I was going to sell them as a set separately in a classified or work them into a deal on the car if the buyer was interested.
I'd be happy to send detailed pics. I few I have on hand are below and stereo pic added. I'm in the Northern Virginia area new Dulles Airport (outside Washington DC)

2 things:
1) Why are you posting in a Canadian forum? I doubt you'll want to go through the trouble of exporting a car from Canada.
2) When you're posting on a G35 forum ... please have the decency to spell the name of the manufacturer as "Infiniti" not Infinity.
Nice car, BTW ...

Yes, sorry for posting in the Canadian section- my mistake. Anyway, sold the M3 for $37k which nicely paid for my new 08 G35s, which was the goal. Thanks and sorry for the misplaced post.
