well if you are gonna make these and try and sell them the price should be lower than what you can get a Z-tube for, which is $40-$60

That is no more than $5 in materials(pvc/glue/pvc rimer(if used)/paint) per tube

BAD!

I suggest the original maker rethink using a different material, because....

^there is not enough heat produced that would cause the pvc to melt and/or emit fumes.

I still wouldnt feel safe using toilet piping that is mainly used for water on something that can heat up, engine bay heat can get up to 110 degrees or more depending on where you live!!! Especially on these G35s, used to have a car with a Intake Air Sensor and it would register 100+degrees on days like this! You think a PVC pipe was made to handle that kind of heat??

^I would never put pvc on a $35k car anyways, enen if it were safe, and its ugly. But PVC is accually pretty strong. When i did HVAC(Heating and Air) we would use pvc for our exhaust vents, and that is well over 100F

I got one for myself too
and no PVC will not melt,,
melting temperatures are above 180 degrees
most intake tubes stay around 100-120 degrees

by the way,, I already found a replacement for a PVC with plastic that withstand up to 235 degrees,, but at this point PVC is more than sufficient for this application

Bad news to use PVC pipe!! Your better off using the intake kits they have at Pep boys that have bends in them...
Pep boys have the tubes but with a smaller diameter,,
one that Im selling is perfect for the VQ with just a slight surface area increase just right for modified engines.

I would use other material, but you can make this yourself from over there.

You gotta be a gump to pay 60+ for this.

And if you want to be selling these in bulk OP, i suggest you look into being a sponsor.

it will flow more air compared to a z-tube,, if you look up what the diameter of intake pipe should be per given hp ,, in earlier 350z's an g35s intake tube is undersized ,, why do you think they went with dual intakes on later years?

for the price might as well get a z-tube.... OEM FTW or save up and get a real intake.... intakes will barely give you hp unless its tuned like grant said...it gives a better sound when ur on it....maybe better mileage

research a little online on intake tubing.
STOCK 350z and g35 throttle body is 70mm ,,
a required intake tube should be 25% larger compared to throttle body,,
this translates into 87.5 mm or 3.44 inches intake tube
currently OEM Z-tube is at 72mm or 2.83 inches

so OEM INTAKE TUBE (ZTUBE) IS FOR SURE UNDERSIZED
