well if u want to keep the carbon, u cannot with the damaged hood because it is cracked where the cf is, its not just in the clear coat. but if u wanted to paint the vents black, then this would be the ideal hood of choice for u

thats right because the hood is not true carbon fiber..I remember from the post before...which means I would just paint the center vents gloss black!

no, the hood is true carbon fiber. its not dry carbon if thats what ur asking.

its an authentic seibon hood, but the damage cracked the fiberglass, in order to fix that you would need to relay fiberglass over the cf, which in result would not be able to save the cf.

okay so if I just have the inserts painted where the vents are at gloss Black and the remaining factory color this hood would be just fine?

yes it would be perfect, u would save alot of money rather than buying a perfect new hood if u plan on painting this one anyways. u could save about 300-400 dollars.
