Greddy TT Kit, downpipes and exhaust for sale
Jack and Roger worked on the first tune together before I ran Sebring. After my Cosworth Intake Plenum came in, I had Japtrix install it, put in the turbo blankets, and make a number of other upgrades.
After the upgrades, Jack started the tune, but he noticed there was an issue because it was not performing as well as it did in the previous tune. It turns out that there was a wire out of place between the ECU and either the F-CON or the Meth controller (I don't remember), and that created an issue with the cam timing. Jack had to leave for an event in Orlando before we got this resolved.
After we fixed the issue and the cam timing was working properly, Roger worked on the tune (I helped as far as I could). He had to re-tune the map for the RPM range affected by the cam timing, which was most of the map above 2500 rpm if I remember correctly.
Because I was headed to a track event at Homestead the next day, he wanted to keep it conservative, which is why he set the timing as he did and ran it a little on the rich side at peak torque. He indicated that if we took the tune to the bleeding edge, we might be able to get up to around 630 RWHP on 93 octane, but he said it would be too risky. So he left it just over 600 RWHP.
We ran out of time and never got a chance to tune it with the Meth injection on-line. That will be coming after the new turbo kit is on.
