1) Im not shure... Like I said I have a 03 coupe so this didn't fit mine. Im shure someone has to know if it will work here in the fourm..

2) Yes! Luckly it's just on there with dubble sided tape.

 

Can you take a picture of the back with the connectors? Maybe someone with the 05+ non-bose laying somewhere in their house can compare the connectors.

Circled in green (the non-bose has like a heatsink?)
Circled in red (the socket hole is not completely black but yours is?) Maybe it's the lighting?

 

Where you'r red circle is its covered on mine by a black cover. (So no plug)
And no dosen't have a heatsink
