how hard would this kit be to install without instructions? I would hate to pay a shop to do the install for me.

Sorry for not stating it on the thread, but it does come with install instructions.

turbo

^^^^^^

I have the same concern.....maybe Dustin can chime in on the turbo. The website for the company that makes the turbo really does not note much on it. I think the turbonetics (original) turbo maybe a better turbo???!

I am thinking of this kit, but the single APS is what I have been comparing this one to. Only difference is this one I can pick up.....

When Dustin first purchased the turbonetics kit, he was having issues with the turbonetics's turbo's and i forget what he said the issue was. Dustin went out to SPA, dicussed with them about fitment and comparability, and found a turbo that had the same specs as the turbonetics turbos. After he had it installed, he said it ran way smoother and had no problems. Im telling you guys what he told me. I will tell him to come chime in his experience.

Alright guys here's the deal w/ this specific turbo from SPA. I am really tight w/ the guys at spa and when I went with them for a new turbo for my car they wanted to know my power goals. I simply said I wanted a turbo that will be more efficient than the crappy t3/t4 TN sells in their kits. So I was looking for one greater than or equal to the size of the original t3/t4 because I was happy with the power goals aside from it being a horrible turbo.

So they gave me the spa5000 turbo which is good for 500hp although it isn't ball bearing it still performs better and runs cooler than the T3/T4 setup I was running. Yes the website says its for small motors but I talked to the owner and was very stern about the problems that might occur if this turbo was on the car. But he assured me it would be fine just when tuning the car this turbo will spool MUCH much faster... Pretty much I made more power w/this turbo than my last on lower psi and produced more TQ.
