Does the ScratchX actually work? Like could I use it in between clay barring and polishing to get small scratches out?

 

^yes, on smaller hair like surface scratches. don't see it doing much on big ones...never tried and not much you can do for big scratches anyway.

was actually going to use this to polish my wheels, but thought it might be too aggressive for the thin clear coat and anodized lips.

Meguiars ScratchX 2.0 removes scratches permanently or temporarily? does it remove swirl marks as well?

 

^works very good to permanately remove scratches and swirls. the best way to remove scratches and swirls is with a PC and more aggressive polishes. ScratchX 2.0 is for small spot work, not the entire car.
