One possible answer is the fact that they didn't have the money anyways - they put it on a credit card and pay for it over the next 6 months which will probably cost more than $2400. Maybe $2600 + after fees?

 

well you can also say because its a hassle to bring 2k and up around and counting the money when you get there when you can actually just transfer money through paypal and get done with it.

btw OP are you willing to part out tires? if so lmk interested on your rear tires.

 

That's another way.... if you send it directly from the bank acct as a GIFT, then the seller wont have to pay for fees...
