Rotora 6/4 BBK - Dark Candy Red
**** S O L D *****
Up for sale is a used, 6/4 Rotora big brake kit.
The calipers were powdercoated dark candy red and were rebuilt after the powdercoat by Rotora in Chino, CA. The kit includes Rotora brake lines and 355mm two-piece, floating rotors. These brakes worked fine for me, but I strongly recommend the new buyer do some maintenance on the kit before installing (see below). The kit is priced accordingly.
Recommended Maintenance: I bought this kit used from another forum member. I noticed that there was a slight wobble which indicates the rotor rings may be warped. I was very annoyed that the seller didn't indicate this, so I'm being up front about it. The rotors are two-piece and the iron rings can be replaced easily so I recommend the new buyer replace at least the rings on the front rotors. Also, I reused the crush washers on the brake lines (big no-no, I now know that) so the new owner should install new crush washers when installing the lines into the calipers. Crush washers can be had for just a few bucks.
Price is $1,600 picked up in the LA area. I will not ship these because I want the buyer to inspect them first. I may drive up to Norcal for work at the end of the month so I could also do a local sale there too.
FAQ
Will these work on a first gen G sedan or 350z? Yes, I believe the brackets are the same. Double check with Rotora to be sure.
How are the brake pads? See pics below. Pads were replaced when I bought the kit and are in good condition.
This is why you don't re-use crush washers Everything was fine after I stopped being cheap and replaced the washer.
