my car has had the stupid creaking and thmp sound for almost a year now and its annoying lol. anyone got compression rods for sale? im in socal. oh i have a coupe idk if it matters if its off of a coupe or sedan should be the same though

why would you buy the whole arms? -___- you can just change the bushings

Coupe and sedan compression rods are different part numbers.

 

but the bushings are the same, he is just getting bushing changed, its a waste of money to change the whole compression rod. when you can change the bushings

yea the bushing is the same on coupe and sedan. but i believe the rod is different.

 

conceptzperformance.com have them for $142 each. i rather buy them new. but its your call.

 

why would he buy a new one? makes no sense at all unless you want to waste your. Its like taking your car to get serviced at the dealer vs buying the part and having a different mechanic install it for 3 times the less price LOL

do you work for conceptzperformance.com and are trying to tell people to buy it?

 

total will be $298.00 plus 1 hour labor ($75) = almost $375

I already PM'ed him the part and the place part is about $50 and labor is $75 = $125

 

^^ haha bh818 is right the bushings are wayyy cheaper plus theres nothing wrong with my rods. my bushings are just cracked.

 

i have a set. i just got them, i found out my shock was making noise and not the rods. they are band new, still wrapped.

also if its just one bushing then just replace that bushing, you dont need the whole rod. but is both is gone then you need the whole rod, since the other side cant be replaced.

 

I have same problem (05 G35 Coupe) please anyone. I want to know how you replaced the compression rod. I will be changing them soon.
Do I need to remove the cross arm underneath the compression rod (where the rod is mounted), how do I take it out.

Pictures will be very helpful.
