RARE & MINT JL Audio Subwoofer

I'm selling a JL Audio 15W6. DON'T get discouraged that it's a 15. It CAN fit in a coupe or sedan. The sub needs only 400-500w rms and 1.25 cu. ft. sealed. It's very efficient and most 10's require that much space.

Reason for selling is that I was trying to find a second JL 15W6 for my setup, but it's too difficult to find another one (for the condition I'm trying to find it in).

This here is and oldschool, rare, discontinued, MINT, and pretty much BRAND NEW subwoofer. I bought it a couple years ago from someone on an audio forum when it hadn't been used. I tested it out on my home theater amp for just under a minute and that was it. So this 12 yr or so sub is practically new.

Your chances of finding this same sub in such a condition are near impossible, trust me, I'm trying to find one, lol. The sub comes in original packaging and has been sitting on its side so that the suspension doesn't sag.

Pictures:

Price is $250 OBO. Prefer local. Not looking to trade for anything as I'm going for 2 18's for my sedan

I'm located in So Cal, particularly in the 626, but I'm always in other ares of So Cal.

Thanks man. I was so close in keeping and buying 2 more of these and making them fit. I'm actually gonna get my trunk looked at to see if I can fit the 2 18's...our trunk sucks with its odd shape.

i have a question, if you pair up a 12 with a 15, is that weird?

Yes...you don't want to mix the size of the subs or the brand with same size. Stick to same size, same sub. Doing that is kinda like putting on different springs or coils (but worse IMO). Imagine having springs that drop 1" and springs that drop 1.5"...there's gonna be a difference in tire wear, the way it looks, etc.

2 12's have slightly more cone area than a single 15, however in this case, the 15" will require less power and less space (more efficient) and the specs of this sub are pretty sweet (great for low end output) and the 12's won't get as low...this sub has one of the lowest resonant frequencies I've seen.
