Nice project.

Anyway this could be done as a true "keyless" mod?

I don't think I would go through the trouble of making a push-to-start project if it still involved a key.

Yeah, I agree. It would be an awesome project, but I don't have an engineering degree with me to mess around with frequencies... yet

Very cool project though.

I talked to my friend in Nissan Indonesia yesterday about this idea of true 'keyless' mod for my car... and my friend told me that it's do able.... what we need is the module from Nissan TIIDA or Versa in USA....
In Indonesia Nissan TIIDA come with that start/stop button with keyless capability.... but at the moment my main concern is I still have to use my original key if something wrong with the module and the key that come with the TIIDA module cannot be program to work on standard key hole in skyline...

it could possibly work if it were possible to move the ing cyl under the dash and keep a key in it in the On position. Then the Start/Stop button would be usable without using another key...

I say this without thinking through the impact on the battery, lighting, keyless entry... etc...

I'm sure SOMEbody out there can make this work...
