DIY 07 Altima engine START/STOP button in 06 350Z
I like the look of the 2007 Altima engine START/STOP button and decided to retrofit one into my 2006 350Z 6MT. I had to modify the start button assembly itself then I built a relay control circuit that controls two Bosch 30A SPDT automotive relays, one of which controls the "START" function and the other which controls the "STOP" function. A special harness was made to tie the button and control box into the factory ignition switch harness. This does not have the "keyless" capabilities of the 2007 Altima but it looks real nice, OEM even. I placed the button on the center console above and to the left of the 6-speed shifter.

I talked to my friend in Nissan Indonesia yesterday about this idea of true 'keyless' mod for my car... and my friend told me that it's do able.... what we need is the module from Nissan TIIDA or Versa in USA....
In Indonesia Nissan TIIDA come with that start/stop button with keyless capability.... but at the moment my main concern is I still have to use my original key if something wrong with the module and the key that come with the TIIDA module cannot be program to work on standard key hole in skyline...

it could possibly work if it were possible to move the ing cyl under the dash and keep a key in it in the On position. Then the Start/Stop button would be usable without using another key...
I say this without thinking through the impact on the battery, lighting, keyless entry... etc...
I'm sure SOMEbody out there can make this work...
