DIY: Radar Detector Hardwired w/ Pics

Did this yesterday. Ran the wires to the lower fuse box, then up to the mirror, all the wires hidden.

The mute button i have attached to the A pillar by that little speaker.

Easy install!

i want to do something like this with a beltronics rx65 and I also have the base+sunroof options so no powered mirror as well. How did you get the cord to be concealed? Did you have to lift up the headliner?

you just slide the wire in there, take off the A pillar, and floor panel by the fuse box.

Does the A-piller snap off? I have removed floor panels before like when I changed the cabin filter myself on the passenger side.

I posted this in the wrong section lol can it get mvoed to the audi video section?

To get it under the headliner, i just pushed it in, once you try it, you will see how easy it is to do.

I just had to pull the plastic fuse box cover thing off to get to that..

Thanks everyone. If you get a hardwire kit, just give this setup a try.

looks nice, exactly where mine is but instead I tapped switched power off my homelink mirror. Its a good location because its not in plain view.
