Can you recommend what product I need to purchase to give me an AUX input (RCAs or 3.5mm mini-plug) for Canadian-spec '06 Infiniti G35 Sedan factory BOSE?

It does not have a SAT button. It has a 6-disc in-dash CD changer with CD, Radio, PTY/CAT, and DISP buttons.

Here's their reply...

I would use an AAI – NIS2 and an iC – RCA cable. This will charge the iPod as well as give you good audio sound.

I'm going to order the PAC AAI-NIS2 from one of their distributors and see if it works.

not to burst your bubble, but i don't think it will work. the aux-niss, however, I know will work. i got it working just before i was a retard and shorted out the hvac circuit board.

These guys at PAC would sell more of these things if they knew what part works with what car...

Do you have the AUX-NISS or AUX-NISSv2? What stereo do you have? Can you post a pic of it so I can see if it's the same head-unit as my '06 BOSE?

I'm not so sure... there's no SAT button on my '06 BOSE HU. I've asked PAC to double-check their specs for me.

New info from PAC:

Use the AAI – Nis2 and not the iC – RCA cable if you do not have an iPod. Our instruction indicate hoe to operate a radio without SAT and with a radio button. As far as I am aware ALL G35 radios are SAT capable weather you purchased at the dealer or not. Here is a link to our instructions.

That's a common misconception... I do not have a SAT button on my '06 BOSE. I have CD, RADIO, PTY CAT, and DISP buttons.

Mine looks exactly like this:

wow, i stand corrected. that's interesting. i thought anything premium equipped was SAT capable. if that's really the case, then the aux-niss might work for you. I believe the only requirement is that you have the cd changer port in the back. It would probably be a good i dea to contact soundgate.

The '06 do not have a SAT button per se. Instead it is only available when you cycle through the mode button on the steering wheel. You also need to have the Factory Satellite radio hooked up or some other device to choose it. I purchased the PAC and it works great with my IPod through a regular RCA cable.

Which PAC adapter did you use?

Call USA SPEC and talk to them:
626-890-6410
http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Man...581PA11NIS.PDF

The manual for the PA11-NIS says it will work with an 03. They answered the phone right away when I called and anwered my questions about their PA11-NIS working with my 06.

At least with the 06, which none of have the SAT button, they still have a an AUX in for either the SAT module or a 6 disc CD changer (external cd changer, not the one in the dash). I suspect that the 03 has the external CD changer controls/inputs as well. When there is a source present, you get to it by pressing the CD button multiple times.

Everyone gets hung up on whether that dumb SAT button is there or not, but it isn't the only thing that tells you if you're in luck or not. You might not be able to use the factory SAT module if you don't have the button, but I believe you have a spare input laying around..

Cheers,
Brian

The AAI-NIS2 it is the same as the original NIS, but it has two aux inputs instead of one. I bought it for about $90.00 I forgot what the name of the website was though.

Crutchfield confirmed the PA11-NIS will work with my '06 Bose, so I'm ordering that. I don't need iPod hook-up, but it's got a line-level AUX input too.

Yes, it is not just for IPod's anything that uses an RCA connection can utilize it. MP3, DVD, etc... I plan on using it to wire in my Sirius Sportster reciever, I just got finished adding an amp/sub and upgrading all my speakers to Infinity Kappa's. Don't feel like tearing apart my dash just yet, LOL.
