Suggestions for $500 Sub Upgrade (Factory Bose)
Suggestions for $500 Sub Upgrade (Factory Bose)
Hey guys,
I have about $500 to spend to add a sub to my coupe. I'd like something very clean, doesn't need to be too loud (I don't want to rattle other driver's windows!).
From reading (and searching!) I think the Infiniti Basslink might be a good option to complement the stock Bose. I'm not an audiophile and I listen to mostly Rap (I know, I know).
Would there be any advantage to getting the Basslink II instead? Also, would going to the JL 10" w3v2 with a custom enclosure and 250/1 amp be too much? I really don't want to invest too much in the system, and I need to include installation charges as well.
What is required with the installation of the Basslink and any clue as to what I might expect to pay from a reputable shop?
Thanks everyone!

Sub installation at Best Buy is ~$60 or so the guy told me yesterday when I said I needed a sub, box, and amp installed. He didn't ask if I had wiring or anything like that. Circuitcity quoted me $75 if I had my own wiring. I'll get back to you on subs.
