Thumbs up PA11 Vs PAC AAI

After shopping around I finally bought my 06 G35 6spd Sedan this week and I would like to get my Ipod hooked up ASAP. I know there are different option between the USA SPEC PA11 and the PAC AAI, I was just hoping one of you guys could help me out. The car comes with the upgraded Bose stereo and also has Sirius Satelite radio which I would like to keep. here are my questions:

Are both products compatible with Sirius?

Do they both charge the Ipod?

Can I control playlists through my steering wheel with both units?

Which would you recommend?

I've been involved with Nissans and VWs for years and now have moved on to Infiniti. I'm just getting my feet wet here. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

THe one i have installed is the Pa11, i think..lol..they both sounds alike.
I luv it, its amazing! it charages the ipod while its hooked up ( i wish it didnt) cuz it would be bad on the battery. but its nice, u have a option of browsing thru the ipod, not lot of aux allows u to do that.

And yes, it allows u to control thru the steering wheel.
Where ever you mount it, make sure its hidden cuz after some time u wont use the ipod as much and would be using the steering wheel

check out my DIY....it kinda explains the difference.....you can only use the pac if you want to keep sirius( factory one i mean)!!!
USA spec doesnt support satellite(OEM)....unless they came out with a new one.

Thanks!

That's a very detailed DIY. I purchased the PAC yesterday and it should take about a week to get here. I assume you don't have to hook up the charger through the unit. I think I'm just going to hook up the PAC and use the regular car charger when needed on long trips and what not. I have it charging on my ihome over night and I can always plug it in at work so I only need to charge it on long trips...hence the car charger. Now all I have to do it hook it up without screwing something up! thanks again for the help!

Quick question: If I purchased the PAC and it comes with 6 ft of power cord, what else will I need to set the unit up with the Sirius and to get video on the ipod? I don't plan on hooking up a charger to the unit. Thanks!

I just installed the USA SPEC PA11 yesterday.
it took less than 2 hours and sounds great.

Look for a link on this site with a $20 discount through Crutchfield.
With the discount and free shipping it only cost me $116.

unit:
1. charges ipod
2. allows full control of ipod while connected (1 of 2 settings)
3. allows steering wheel and stereo control of ipod
4. also has an AUX rca input in case you add other equipment like satelite
5. you cannot see track information on the stereo (not really needed)
6. install was fairly easy and I got all the steps from the boards here
