does navi require monthly fee? cuz i noticed that alot of ppl gets navi but then i dun see a point of needing one since i noe my city pretty well

 

it just requires a DVD that you need to update every 2-3 years... the car comes with the most recent one though

 

Not all NAV can be updated! Because on my 03 I can not up date to the 7.0+! I only can go to max 6.7 I think! I have try to put a 05 7.0+ and 06 7.0+ DVD in my, and my NAV can't read it!

 

you should be able to upgrade to the '05 navi versions... I know the 06 is using whole new hardware or whatever so it can't...

 

the year 05 is still version 6.X...

the latest version for 03-05 Navigations is 6.4.

But to answer your question: We don't pay any monthly dues/fees whatsoever but I guess you can kinda say $200 a year is some sort of fees lol

 

DO a search, there was a thread on how the Navi does much more than just show streets.

 

i thought i wouldnt utilize the navigation feature that much either being that i had a fairly good understanding of my own area, but i leave my area here and there and now i never have to worry about being lost because i can always ask it to take me home and its the reason i took my sat, mapquest was smoking crack that day.

 

the only thing the screen is usful to me is to track MPG and to watch music videos too
