Installed iPod 60 GB Video with PA11-NAS and TVANDNAV2GO

I just finished my install today!! I have the sound running through the stereo via the PA11-NAS using the iPod adapter (NOT the RCA inputs) - so I can still control the iPod via the steering wheel controls (I used Direct Mode). I purchased the Apple audio / video cable (the one that plugs into the headphone jack) and ran that through the TVANDNAV2GO. It sounds and looks awesome (although I had to get a power line noise filter to prevent lines in the picture).

One thing I learned the hard way doing this install - you cannot use the dock (or at least I couldn't) with the PA11-NAS if you want the steering wheel controls (it will only charge the iPod). The iPod dock apparently splits the sound out to the headphone jack, only. I went this route, first, intending to use the s-video jack on the dock - with a composite adapter - to connect to the TVANDNAV2GO. I was under the impression that the Apple audio / video cable would prevent the sound from coming through the iPod adapter on the PA11-NAS (since it plugs into the headphone jack), forcing me to use the RCA inputs. But, that was not the case...

Thanks for all the posts that everyone has put up on this site related to this topic (especially the instructions at www.g35ipod.com - I have a 2003.5 sedan).

These seems like what I have wanted to do since i got my 04 coupe back in Feb. Let me get this straight though, you can still use your steering wheel controls to control your iPod but does the video (or whatever image is displayed on the iPod whether it is a movie, song or picture) also change as well? Can you also still control your iPod? I know there are two modes, direct and something else, is direct mode the one you can still use the iPod? And last but not least, does it charge the iPod as well? Thanks alot for you help and sorry about the rant..

yes to all your questions:

charges ipod, allows movieplayback, allows full control of ipod, steering wheel controls work (basically you can forward the song).

modes: direct and playlist (you want direct)

The only thing (at least that I've seen so far) is that the NAV screen will only display movies (and pictures, too, I guess) - it does NOT display the iPod menus or current track that is playing. I'm guessing the iPod is designed to only output actual media to the video feed.
