Any1 able to use Sat as Aux input?

I am loooking for info on what the wire connectors are. I am wanting to either find a Sat connector or make my own so I can input my audio in.
This is for a G35 Coupe with Bose system, and navigation.

Not happenin, i've already tried it. We're goign to have to wait for someone to design a box that sends data packets to the headunit saying theres either a cd changer or a satellite box connected to enable the audio-in's.

Crap! Well there goes my plans! I have an 04 G35s on order w/ Sirius. I have some major plans for the sound system. What do yo guys think about splicing/interrupting the audio line for the sat and installing some sort of audio switch? It seems like the only way to get direct audio into the head unit.

That is very possible. All you have to do is pop open the sat box, find the audio patch in pads. Keep in mind, however. They're line level balanced. (They do that to keep noise out of the system for long audio runs). You will need to build or make a line level converter and a switch to switch between signals. That would be way easy, and I'd do it but I can't justify spending $300 on a satellite box when i'd never use it.

Are you sure the lines are balanced? Well I have some hope now.
BTW where is the Sat tuner located?

Sat tuner is on the left side panel in the trunk, behind the panels. The bose amp is to the left of the spare tire, which is also where the sat harness is located.

Sounds like you have a coupe. He has a sedan coming. The Sat box for the sedan is in the trunk roof, just to the right of center.

The guys at PAC just broke the code on the input - they'll have a converter soon.

I hope that it isn't too cludgy or difficult to install, since I would like the option of using an Ipod or equivalent. (Though, 6 80 minute CDs is 8 hours of music, and easier to change than my truck).

Re: Any1 able to use Sat as Aux input?

What would be really cool is if, along with the adapter, we had some way of accessing the buttons. E.g., the ipod in particular has that little remote. If we could patch the play/pause/seek buttons to the iPod to be controlled via the receiver, that would rock. I would think it's possible because an XM module would need to be able to respond to those things too. Probably wishful thinking ....

I dont think it's wishful thinking for the 3G iPods. The dock connector has way way way too many pins for just audio. I know something like this could be possible. Belkin has like 5 or 6 iPod add-ons using the extra pins on the connector and with the remote connector on top. I know nothing about electronics otherwise I'd tackle it. I'd be happy if we could just use the SAT as AUX. We could figure the rest of that out later.
