when giving it power - should i power it with a 12v source thats on with the car all the time? or should i do it to the tailight - so it turns on only when in reverse? - does it harm the camera to be on all the time while driving?

 

Do you plan on ever using it when not in reverse?

 

well if you're using it to turn on when you switch gears into reverse you would need to tap the 12v line for the reverse light. If you wanted to just have it on and flip a switch then give it a constant 12v. I really don't see a point to have this on while driving though.

 

I also plan on putting a rev cam on my ride on the next week or so. I want to have it when it shift into reverse, but I also want the option to turn it on while driving. Does anybody know if this is possible? Maybe using a 3 way switch
