Alpine IVAW200 vs Pioneer
Yes / Yes
Nav (requires the blackbird and docking port) blOWS on the Alpine, from all the reviews.
Just go for the Avic Z1, its a trip haha no pun intended... Cant wait to get one for myself

Dont know.
The Z1 is hard-drive based. 30gb hard drive, 20 for nav, the other 10 is for storing music for replay from CD's. That means no DVD to skip, loose, or another reader to break. Also the Z1 unit is voice activated and talks to you (including street names, not just "turn left ahead", but "turn left onto Main st ahead"), Also it learns; It gets used to how you drive, and makes future routing based on that. Z1 seems to be about the most advanced navi unit available for the US right now (you should see what they have for japan, dayum!).

I would not recommend Z1. I had it for 3 weeks and returned. Sound quality is so so. Navigation is just a big joke. Look for Kenwood combo. If you don’t care about Bluetooth get DDX-8017 plus KNA-G510, if you Bluetooth is important for you then get DDX-6019.
