The window module has the capability of locking the doors after the ignition has been switched to the 'ON' position for about 6 seconds. The module senses voltage on the RAP (retained accessory power) wire, and therefore, can not unlock the doors.

The feature was more of an afterthought, then anything else, and 95% of users disable it (if not immediately, after they lock their keys in their car). At one point we were going to take it out of the programming all together, but instead we have just been advising people to NOT hook the yellow wire up to anything in the car. The yellow wire is the RAP wire, and when the module was originally designed I wanted to make sure the windows would NOT rise if the ignition was on. However, the BCM won't allow the windows to rise remotely if the ignition is on, so its a redundant safety feature that can be completely eliminated with no ill effects.

To program it on:

1. Open the drivers door
2. Turn the ignition to the 'ON' position (you don't have to start the car)
3. Press the 'LOCK' button 3 times within 5 seconds (lock button inside the car)
4. About 1 second after pressing the lock button the 3rd time the doors will auto lock to let you know the programming was successful.

To program it off in software:

1. Open the drivers door
2. Turn the ignition to the 'ON' position (you don't have to start the car)
3. Wait for the doors to auto lock (about 6 seconds)
4. Press the 'LOCK' button 3 times within 5 seconds (lock button inside the car)
5. About 1 second after pressing the lock button the 3rd time the doors will auto lock to let you know the programming was successful.

A while back I looked in to adding a lock out protection by sensing the light in the door (only on when door is open) but due to the rare use of this feature is was left off due to pricing concerns. Also, KPtechnologies offers a complete auto locking/unlock module that can be triggered at a programmable speed.

KPtech also offers a module to automatically process the 'OK' button on the navi and allows the user to program the unit while in motion (firmware just updated and added a few more 'cool' features, more on that later). A fully programmable (no pills, dials, or switches) shift light that was engineered for stealth installation. A module that adds remote open/venting and closing to the OEM sunroof on the G35 coupe, and a module that adds a 'memory' to the VDC button!

KPtech also has some really cool module in development that we are trying to release before the summer ends.

Anyone else have any questions?
