4080 Box after F-250 rear end

Since alot of people have beenasking about the durability of the 4080 box, I thought I would show some pics of it after being smashed into by a ford f-250 truck. The weirdest thing about it is that the box heldup perfectly...the only damage was to the little metal strip that holds it in place got bent, otherwise the box took the hit and servived....I wish I could have said that for the rear end of the car...15K in total damages around the box!

That did suck....the bright side was that the 4080 box saved my laptop (white bag next to the sub) and the box is still fine too. My insurance doesn't cover any add-ons...luckily it was oem parts only that were wasted.

you might want to check with your insurance company/policy on covering those add-ons. my insurance company (USAA) does cover aftermarket parts, as long as they are PERMANENTLY bolted/attached to the vehicle. i found this out the hard way when one of my vehicles was flooded out. give it a try!

The only add-on thing that wasn't repaired was my sound proofing in the trunk. Since I did all the work, the only receipt I have for it is about $50 or so for parts. No big loss, but I did get the body shop to re-spray my front bumper and do touch-ups on the body where needed.

Ouch, that's terrible. Glad to hear you (and the box) are OK.
