ok so theres so many ways you can go, what do you like?
1) Stock nav and add tvandnavtogo, just to watch movies. Plus you need an extra dvd player, got a quote for around $1400. Installed and out the door.
2) Pioneer Avic-Z1, because you get another screen for movies i guess and you dont need to buy a damn dvd player. Plus its like top of the line i guess. Quite pricey though, about $2400 PLUS installation...eeek im guessing around 3 grand.
3) Pioneer Avic-N3, exactly what im looking for, to play movies w/o having to buy an external dvd player. The only thing is that it doesnt "blend in" with the factory dash cuz its a single din fold out screen i guess its not gonna look as "clean"
4) Pioneer Avic-D2, i would still need an external dvd player. But i would get another screen and it looks really good because this unit(like the Z1) blends in to the stock look. Got a quote for this one for around $2100.
So basically all in all, i just want to see some damn movies!! maybe hook up a ps2 or something... i guess the most budget route would be #1. But for another 700-800 bucks i can go with #4 and get an extra touchscreen.
Anyone have 2 screens in there G?? Pics of any of these units would be cool to kinda get an idea of wut it will look like.

TIME OUT!! i just found this Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD 7" touchscreen DVD playback, i guess its like the D2 but instead of NAVI its for DVD movies. If i installed this would i be able to keep my stock navigation?
why not get the tvandnav unit and ps2, this way you can play games as well. you can add the wireless controllers to save from wires hanging. I'm about to cut out my box this weekend for a snug fit. You can do this install on your own and place the ps2 slim in your glove box.

The tvandnavtogo is $299. Where is the next $1100 coming from? A stand alone dvd player should be no more than $300 (and you can get them much cheaper). So $800 for install
? Try another shop! Good luck whatever route you choose though!!!!!

the Z1 definitely can... head over to AVIC411.com and goto the Z1 forum... a member named ducatiboy makes a circuit that will disable the lockout and doesn't require any modification to the Z1 unit itself (so the warranty will still be good!)
