Few question on Nuvi Nav Integration
Few question on Nuvi Nav Integration
Hello all,
I have a couple of questions on how I might integrate my new Garmin Nuvi 350 into my G coupe. It is a 2005 model with the stock head unit ( no Bose).
I plan to mount it like this gentleman:

Nice and easy to reach/remove from the car.
I plan to get power to the Nuvi via this device (it is essentially a standard DC power port or cigarette lighter adapter)
http://www.myradiostore.us/power-acc...t-adapter.html
This would hide behind the dash/radio and I would plug the Nuvi car adaptor right into it. I know there are some spare spots in the cabin fuse panel so I was going to just tap one of those.
The question I have is how do I hook up the audio? I have the stock head unit. Is there an extra connector in the back I don't know about? And if so how do I switch to it using the radio?
Finally how difficult would this wiring be? I have never really opened up a car before, so am a bit hesitant, but ready to learn. Any advice would be welcome. If this works, I plan to put together a nice DIY on how to integrate this awesome NAV unit.
Thanks!
