Question Memphis Audio?

I do not know a lot about car stereo equi.

There is a shop here in town that has Memphis Subs and Amps for a good price.
Seemed like a good value.

They sounded good to me but I have never heard them in a car.

Has anybody had either their subs or amps? Any advice is appreciated.

I have a lot to do to improve the stereo in this thing, so I wanna get my moneys worth without breaking the bank.

How is Memphis or Phoenix Gold?

I would like to know too... I am trying to add an amp & sub to my stock bose. I have been going around most audio shops around my house & asking around. Most of the guys tell me that JL makes good amp & sub, but is overpriced. Also most of the G35s on this forum have JL. I just would like to go in a different direction. After some researching, I am planning to go w/ either Memphis or Phoenix Gold.

I replaced my Bose sub amp and sub with a Rockford amp and a Memphis 8" sub. I am quite happy with the sound now.

JL is worth every penny.....

Memphis was a entry level brand about ten years ago, but from what i hear, they are making good stuff. I would rather have JL.

I would rather have all JL too, but to get a mono and 4 channel, they are way more expensive. I do not want to do my stereo in pieces, hence the reason I am searching for a good quality product for less money.

How would you compare Memphis amps to MTX amps?

I would take memphis amps over mtx anyday.

I would prefer to have JL Audio equipment but I just don't want to spend that much. So I have some Polk-Momo stuff that I got a good deal on. 2 10" subs & matching amp pushing about 200w to each sub. I'm happy with it.
