V1 Install

OK so I just got my 06 coupe last week and now I need to transfer over my V1. I am tired of looking for an acceptable power wire to tap into. I have the V1 above the passenger door and put the wire all along the headliner down to the driver's side underneath the steering wheel. I took off the knee cover and can't seem to find anything to tap into anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for the noobish question but im tired of looking here and in my car.

Thanks

Just got back from autozone

Turns out they don't have any so I went to Radio Shack and Home Depot with no luck. I guess I need to go find another store.

Any Idea which is the Cigy Fuse? I would like to keep all the wires on the driver's side dash - so hopefully it's on the driver's fuse panel.

I ended up going to another Advanced Auto and they ended up having the piggy back fuse. Luckly they had only one ATM sized connector.

Also kinda weird I didn't end up using the cigarette adaptor fuse. I didn't work for some reason. So I ended up using an empty slot.

Thanks for all your help. BTW I connected the remote display right next to the steering console above the air vent and to the left of the GPS cubby. Looks pretty good and its out of sight for other drivers and close to the speedometer at the same time.

Yeah I liked yours

But I really wanted it closer to the speedometer so I wouldn't have to look down. That would def. be my second choice though... Looks great!

you can tap your cig lighter or you can take a volt meter and check to find a 12v power source with the key on. There are plenty of wires to tap.

hey phish, can you post pics of what your overall setup looks like, because I also just ordered the V1 for my 06 coupe. I want mine to look flush so there are no wires showing or anything. So if you could post some pics, it would be great thanks.

Is easy run the wire from the headliner, just tuck it in then run it down the a pillar. ( pull the a pillar out is easy, feed it down the hole it gets a little tricky but it will come out of the fuse box area. Piggy back it on a 12v fuse and that is it
