Instant-on and being the only car on the road, you are going to get it V-1 or not.

damn thats sucks dude, i got a ticket in jax for tinted windows, these bastards (state troopers) even brought the dogs on me and started asking me all kind of stupid questions like, thats an expesive car for a guy your age, what do you do for a living??, im like WTF? im freaking 29, im not 18, the he asked me if i had drugs on the car and all this bs and i said no, then another cop came in one of those SUV's (with the dog inside) and he asked me if i didnt mind the dog since i didnt have anything in the car (drugs) at this moment im ****ing pissed and i said if i dont have anything on my car, why would i want the digs to come close to my car??? then he went on with his bs so i said yeah, but not inside... maybe he saw my latino face and decided to give me a hard time, anyways he gave me a ticket for $74 for tinted windows (%15) that happened last week so im sending the $74 this weekend...

I heard this trick but i never tryed it.
I heard that if you send a check (for your ticket) like a dollar of two more then you actually owe then they send you a check back and if you do not cash it it does not goes on your record untill you actually cash the check and they close the case i shold try it on my outsdanding ticket.

Urban legend.

Read about it on snopes.com I'm too lazy to find the actual page on snopes, but if you search, you'll find it

basically they sit around a turn where you cant see the other side. when you come flying around the turn, they turn it on and by then its too late. i got a ticket like that many years ago on my way down to florida. i never used a radar detector since.

my brother borrowed my V1 for his trip .. and he got 2 tickets .. i got 1 after 1 months i purchased my V1 . To me V1 only good on a straight highway with no car park aside .. on a turn or curve .. useless .. i think police give money to V1 each time they sale a radar detector.

The big problem with radar detectors in general is that in a good speed trap the cop only activates his radar when he is clocking someone. With a few cars on the road the cop gives up his cover since he's clocking the car ahead of you which gives you warning. When he sits around a turn it lessens the warning range you can get from other cars. When I see traffic/road conditions that create a favorable conditions for a stealth speed trap I slow down. On the open highway I always try to find someone going fast enough to follow to give me a warning from possible speed traps.

So far "crosses fingers" I've never gotten a ticket when I was using a radar detector over the last 8 years. Although there was a few close calls. Its easy to let down your guard in this car. (slammed on brakes, didn't get pulled over)

seems like when you combine the instant on laser radar's the police have with the feeling of protection from a radar detector, you have to wonder if you're more likely to get a ticket with the detector than without...

Damn bro that sucks, sounds like an instant on laser detector, that's what happens when you speed late at night and you are the only car on the road, the cop isn't radaring other cars in front of you so the detector isn't picking it up. He hits the instant on laser and gets just your speed then it goes back off immediately.

Where do you live? Move somewhere with less stable weather where they can't use laser reliably
