Re: Headrest monitors installed (PICS)

How does this affect the active head restraints?

Re: Headrest monitors installed (PICS)

Yeah I drive my car as much as possible so if I go on a trip with the family we take the G.

When I started researching for this mod I was worried about the active headrests. After reading a little into it I realized the active headrests are a joke. Basically when you get rear-ended your body weight (shoulders) press into the top of the seat and this tilts your headrests forward about half an inch, maybe an inch. It's pretty pathetic when they make it sound like these things slam forward to save the day.

Re: Headrest monitors installed (PICS)

Thanks. I actually did it myself. A friend of mine got his installed in a different car and they charged him $150 per headrest. It took me about an hour for the first one and about half an hour for the second.

My ps2 problem is I want to rotate the drive 90 degrees so it would eject out of the side instead of the front. Then I could mount it lengthwise either in the rear console or under the armrest. I've taken it apart and I'm trying to locate a couple of ribbon cables to allow me to move the drive.

Hey trentacinque, What are you using to get your ps2 to play through the Nav screen? is ti the Av electrionics tuner? just wondering cause the new monitors are sweet and I wasn't sure if you can add more monitors onto the tuner.

The AVelectronic has 2 video outputs in addition to the Nav output.
