Aftermarket Headunit confusion

Ok guys, I have gone thru 8 pages of searches on this and cannot figure out what I want to do. I have a 2003 G35 coupe premium, My POS Bose cd player died this week and I am thinking about converting to the DD, I know I need the finisher and the a\c controls. I plan on using a single din unit as I dont have the money to spend on a DD nav unit, plus I already have factory nav. My main question is which harness to buy to run a aftermarket headunit but using the factory amp and speakers. I have seen the Scoche part which requires you to purchase a standard harness and also a HU adapter to make it work, which looks difficult from the picture of the adapter i have seen. I prefer Metra products which has a harness that has RCA outputs that come off of it. Part number 70-7551.. What is my best option? For those of you with single din cd player what pocket part number did you use? Any help would be greatly appreciated
